MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID (MHFA)

20% of Canadians have been diagnosed with mental health disorders (note: this only includes people who have been to a physician.... 46% of Canadians will be diagnosed with a mental health disorder at least one time in their lives……Canadian data does not track data from psychotherapists).

This 12-hour course is very interactive with videos & audience participation. 

MHFA Basic is intended for adults interacting with adults (18 years and older). This course focuses on the four most common mental health disorders including substance abuse, mood disorders, anxiety and trauma, and psychosis. 

The course provides the framework for having a confident conversations and interactions about mental health with family, friends, colleagues, and strangers. A mental Health First Aid Certificate will be issued upon the completion of the course.
